APW - Rockford, Grade 83, 15J, 18S, heavy 14K gold original L&S HC with spectacular engraving detail including a nesting bird to rear, scalloped band, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#272389. Gross weight of assembled watch 97.9 dwt (152.3 g); gross weight of case only with movement removed and with crown/stem assembly removed 42.0 dwt (65.4 g). A notably beautiful scalloped 14K gold hunting case, in exquisite crisp condition.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, small rub adjacent left side barrel bridge screw, few small fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere; dial with outer chapter hl at 7:30, small edge flake under bezel near 7, minuscule flake to inner corner of outer chapter adjacent seconds-register above 5, some beveling wear of outer edge under bezel; excellent hands; case shows virtually no wear, very small nick to scalloped band at 10, no dents or dings, superb crisp engraving detail; bow pivots freely through a small central range of motion before becoming tight in either direction, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
